She’s back… our 4th or 5th annual salutation to the goddamn ridiculousness of the art fair… it’s like, we love them so much we can’t stand them or we can’t stand them so much we want to eat one for lunch just to see what all the fuss is about, or like it’s a train wreck you can’t look away from while simultaneously wishing the conductor invited you in to be one of the chosen few that get to slam into the side of that glorious glittery mountain, but then you realize that you could never be chosen so you circle back to mockery… whatever your stance, just be sure to make it while wearing some of those big red rubber boots because apparently you can’t even slip on a banana in those things.
This show started with an art call that saw nearly 1000 images submitted from all corners of the country. The ShockBoxx jury dove in and took on the challenging task of narrowing that field down to what we could fit inside the gallery. "NOT!," opens live this Saturday. You should come, even if just to pet the horse.
